The significance of "it matters" resonates, and the abruptness of the commands elicits a dirgeness (new word) - reminds me of a couple of my poems in style and meter, making 'why' a winner to me. When I first read it, I thought the line 'it matters' might scan better as 'it all matters'; but as written, it subtly reveals the "why" (and thus, why it is better as you wrote it.)
i can see the "it all matters" but it was hard enough to get out these words, therefore "it matters." (or does it?)
this was a quick "have to get my sadness out" thing.... you can tell, because i didn't even find an image. guess that's why i'm glad my blog has the dark theme....
I wondered about the absence of an image, but was afraid to ask why. ;) Not that it matters . . . . I don't believe you will be pigeonholed into the Gothic Emo genre.
