blue

you turned
on a dime

i was too blind
to see it

every word
was a trap

love was too hard
to teach it

i thought
you could care

were you too cruel
to mean it?

i can sit
in the darkness
longer than you

the shadows
are better
than all this blue

(knew)

  2. Ah, well, in "blue" they resolve the observing & questioning into resolve and decision - sometimes a sadness may become strength; and in the poem they are the strength and color of the meaning.

    1. thank you. a sadness could be the start of a new growing thought/emotion, to be sure.... good thought.
