the system
i work for
is alive in books,
ideas, art, talk,
laughter

most anything

we almost fight
to redefine
what a library is

with gentle voices
that weave
pleasant undertones

suggesting new roads
to travel
in the steps of
knowledgeable people
we never met

but want to be like

to do good
with what you have
in a job
that you love

is a dream
