you turned
on a dime
i was too blind
to see it
every word
was a trap
love was too hard
to teach it
i thought
you could care
were you too cruel
to mean it?
i can sit
in the darkness
longer than you
the shadows
are better
than all this blue
(knew)
Ecliptic power in the final two stanzas.
ReplyDeletethank you. i happened upon those two in the run of emotion i was in...should have waited, and made a whole new poem out of them :)
DeleteAh, well, in "blue" they resolve the observing & questioning into resolve and decision - sometimes a sadness may become strength; and in the poem they are the strength and color of the meaning.
ReplyDeletethank you. a sadness could be the start of a new growing thought/emotion, to be sure.... good thought.
