surroundings

not trusting
just yet

just watching

hoping to see him
again

they saw
a princess

graceful and kind

wanting only
to be pampered

and they acted
accordingly

and in the
dark coldness
of nightfall

she followed
their path

for a moment

until the clock
spoke again
